POSITION DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: nConnect NW Evaluation Coordinator
SUMMARY:
The Evaluation Coordinatorwillcoordinate data collection and analysis efforts for all nConnect NW programs. These efforts will support program evaluation and grant writing activities, ensuring that nConnect NW is delivering quality programs and has the statistical information required for fundraising efforts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
1. Update and create data collection instruments
2. Ensure accurate entry of data
3. Research, collect, and analyze data on nCnonect NW participants’ and control students’ activities and test scores.
4. Research, collect and analyze data and information that relates to nConnect’s mission and program
5. Work closely with partners including College Board and local school districts
6. Communicate with volunteers and participants via phone and email before, during and after nConnect NW events and trainings to ensure attendance and collect feedback.
7. Analyze data as needed for grants and fundraising
8. Complete and submit all necessary AmeriCorps Program paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
9. Attend and complete AmeriCorps Program orientation and enrollment session.
10. Wear an appropriate AmeriCorps identifier and required safety gear while performing service or attending official events.
11. Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL WORK PERFORMED:
1. Works closely with staff and partners to ensure program participants and stakeholders are satisfied with program services.
2. Attends meetings, workshops, seminars; keeps current with trends and practices relative to the mission and goals of the organization.
3. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs wide variety of duties necessary to the efficient management of the organization and its programs.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in a fast-paced professional office setting; however, external contacts necessitate some travel mostly in southwest Washington and the Portland metro region. Position requires flexibility and adaptability. Hours will typically be 8-5 with a one hour lunch, however, there may be some evening and weekend hours as needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have:
·Baccalaureate degree from a credited institution, or equivalent experience
·Excellent computer skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
·Strong organizational skills
·Current driver’s license and insured automobile
·Ability to pass a criminal history background check and National Sex Offender Registry search.
Preferred qualifications include:
·Experience with data analysis and/or creating survey instruments
·Background and/or knowledge of nonprofits and/or the education system
·Familiarity with and/or residence in Southwest Washington or northern Oregon
Compensation and benefits:
This is an AmeriCorps LINKS position, and pays a monthly stipend of $1,000. Other AmeriCorps LINKS benefits include:
·Basic medical benefits
·Upon successful completion of a term of service, eligible members receive an education award of $2,362. The education award can be used to repay qualified student loans, for further education in an accredited institution of higher learning, vocational or for trade schools. The education award is taxed in the year that it is used.
·Loan forbearance (after successful completion of a term of service, AmeriCorps will pay a portion of the accrued interest on qualified loans, which is taxable).
Duration
This temporary, full-time position will last 6 months.

1. Communicate with volunteers and participants via phone and email before, during and after nConnect NW events and trainings to ensure attendance and collect feedback.
2. Represent nConnect NW at trainings and events; build and maintain positive professional relationships with nConnect NW partners, participants and volunteers.
3. Conduct research into event best practices, communicate findings with nConnect NW staff
4. Coordinate event and training logistics: maintain work plan, work with venues, order supplies, develop and administer surveys, etc.
5. Maintain records for all participants
6. Complete and submit all necessary AmeriCorps Program paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
