nConnect NW is currently looking for volunteers, including mentors, guest speakers, mock interviewers, internship hosts and more. No matter if you have thirty minutes, or are willing to make a longer term volunteer commitment, nConnect NW can help you find a volunteer experience that is satisfying and the right fit. If you have worked in science, technology, engineering or math, you have the background we are looking for!
Small Group Mentors
nConnect mentors work with a teacher and a small group of students over the course of the school year. The mentor focuses on helping students with rigorous coursework, understanding potential careers, and making decisions about post high school plans.
nConnect mentors are currently needed for physics, biology, calculus, chemistry and statistics classes in Clark County, Washington State.
STEM Link Mentor
STEM mentors are assigned a protégé who is interested in exploring a STEM career and needs extra support to figure out how to make it happen. STEM mentors commit to their protégé for a minimum of six months, and help them develop their career plan and take needed next steps. This is a part of a regional effort including nine counties in Oregon and Washington.
BizConnect
BizConnect volunteers share their expertise with high school students and teachers, through volunteering as a guest speaker, leading a workshop, hosting a company tour and more. There are a wide variety of opportunities for BizConnect volunteers to connect with the community.
Please contact nConnect Northwest for more information or to apply to be a volunteer.
